Whoops. Mr. Madden was not the only student voice at that table. I was at his table and I am a student (part-time). There were at least 5, maybe 6 other students at his table. There were only 2 people at the table that for sure were not students, not counting the MMM rep who was there more as observer than participant. The rmt and the woman who said she lived on Hickory Street (or owned on Hickory street). There were 2 that were not identified as students or not. One told us for certain that he had received an email from "Tanja" telling him it was important to attend, so I suspect that many other students were also encouraged to participate.

What's unfortunate is that nobody actually took a count so as to get some idea of demographics.

It would be interesting to see a break-down of whose input into the planning sessions is getting the most impact.

It would also be interesting to find out if the students participating actually live in Northdale or not.

What I found interesting was the number of students at the table admitting they didn't live in the area.

Yet not many non-student residents from the rest of the city were present.

It's interesting given the long-term impact the results of these sessions will have on the rest of the city and taxpayers in terms of services, image and reputation, population density, etc.
